The purpose of Dangerous Curves is to foster a safe and supportive
riding environment for women and their friends and families, while
developing friendships with other people sharing a common interest
in motorcycling, and to promote the knowledge about and appreciation
of motorcycles.
Our motto is R-E-S-P-E-C-T, which stands for:
Ride safe and sane always. Follow laws,
posted speed limits, and follow the lead of your Road Captain. We
ask that riders have a current CA motorcycle license and insurance.
Follow the standard staggered pattern (2-second rule), unless the
situation calls for single-file riding.
Encourage and support your fellow riders,
regardless of bike style, riding experience, or personal background.
We are an equal opportunity group and will not tolerate prejudices
of any kind. All female riders and bike styles are welcome. Male
riders are welcome as a guest of a female rider, unless the ride
is specified a womans only ride.
Share yourself with others - give back to
other riders and your community.
Prepare for each ride - mentally, physically,
and emotionally... and with a full tank and an empty bladder! It
is the responsibility of each rider to insure their capacity to
ride is not impaired by alcohol, drugs, lack of sleep, or other
influences. Know your limits and ride within them.
Expect and believe in the best in yourself
and others. No bashing of anyone will be allowed including
yourself.
Celebrate victories and support each other
in the tough times. People may forget what you say or do, but they
will never forget how you made them feel.
Trust and take care of each other. Together
we stand strong and can accomplish anything we set our minds to.
Use your strength, dignity, and honor as a woman to make our part
of the world a better place.
