I have to be honest… the first thing that drew my attention to this jacket was the color. In a sea of pink as the “obvious” choice for women’s gear, it was exciting to see something that was vibrant, colorful, and functional! Don’t get me wrong – I have nothing against pink… it’s just I’m not really a “pink” kind of person (I know KC can relate… lol).

I’ve looked at Fieldsheer jackets before and liked the detail and options that they. This particular jacket, the Lena model, has it all. I left the electric gear at home to see how it fared in the cold (well for us Kalifornians) weather and, after I road tested it this weekend, I have to say it kept me toasty warm!

It is one of the more comfortable jackets I’ve worn with enough room across the chest to not mash me down; adjustable straps on the sides for different waist sizes as well as on the arms in strategic spots; double-ended zipper (so you can unzip from the bottom and not have the jacket ride up when you straddle the bike); and lots of pockets (although I really don’t carry much on me but there are lots of options for those that do).

The liner is soft and cushy with ribbed fabric cuffs to help keep the air out around the wrists; armor in all the right places; zippered vents in the front and back (which obviously I haven’t tested yet!); reflective piping; not too tight around the neck; and is advertised as waterproof but, again, I haven’t been able to test that out yet.

I’ll keep you updated as I continue to wear the jacket but right now, I am very pleased with the addition of it to my riding gear!
