The highlight of the day was the addition of a new "lady" to the group. A friend, Ich (male rider), had been invited to join us for the ride. He questioned me as to whether or not he needed to dress in drag as this was a women's riding group. I told him, no, it wasn't necessary but to do whatever he felt was right. That was when we met "Icharina", complete with wig, lipstick, and midriff-baring top!! I have to say that is a first for our rides! We hit some great little roads that I had never been on before on that side of 17... absolutely beautiful! Going up Vine Hill, we passed a sign that said "Road Closed"... I said what the hell, onward and upward... maybe the road is washed out but a bike could get through... um, nope... so we turned around, headed back down, and Ich(arina) led us to Granite Creek Rd, another little gem... thanks, Ich(arina)!! BTW, in case any of you is starting out on a 250 or think it's not a good starter bike because it can't keep up, Dana, who rides The Little Honda 250 That Could, keeps up just fine and sometimes it's hard to keep up with her!! It's all in the rider and what you do with your bike. Stopped for a break at Gazos Creek while we waited for Ich(arina) who had been chatting so intently at our gas stop in Boulder Creek that he forgot to get gas! We continued to Alice's where there was a bbq for a riding friend named Farah who was going away to boot camp. We met up with some other friends there as well. James and his daughter, Mei Li, came up to enjoy the day... Mei Li was an extremely good sport as she listened to all the tales of injuries and surgeries by Jimmy and Tim... buncha old farts. lol All in all, it was yet another great day and all close to home! J Peace,
